2. Tuition payment methods
All tuition must be received on the first scheduled lesson. If a student does not pay for his/her tuition on the first lesson, he/she will have a grace period till the 2nd lesson to pay for the tuition. Students are not allowed to attend classes until all necessary tuition and fees are paid in full.
3. Cancellation of Enrollment
An applicant may cancel his or her enrolment in writing 24 hours before the commencement of classes. All money paid to Praise Institute will be refunded within 30 days of cancellation, less the registration fee. An applicant must cancel in writing, not by telephone or by not coming to class.
After the course has started, a student also has the right to stop school in writing 24 hour prior to the scheduled lesson and be entitled to receive refund for the part of the course that has not yet occurred (see Partial Tuition refunds).
4. Partial Tuition Refunds
A partial refund may be returned to the student if he/she decided to stop the lessons after the program has started and before or at the time at which 40% of the scheduled classes have taken place. The partial refund includes 80% of the remaining scheduled tuition fees, less the lesson materials and the registration fee. After 40% of the scheduled lessons have passed, there will be no refund. Therefore, for each 10 week quarter, no refund will be given after the 4th week (for monthly attendees, no refund will be given after the 1st week lesson).
5. Cancellation policy for private lesson student
10 weeks private lesson students are allowed to cancel 2 lessons per quarter and re-schedule 2 lessons per quarter (see Re-Scheduling a Lesson).
4 weeks private lesson students are allowed to cancel 1 lesson per month and re-schedule one lesson per month (see Re-Scheduling a Lesson).
Every student may cancel up to 2 lessons per quarter with a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the lesson. If the student fails to do so, he/she will not received credit for the class and the lesson will be considered forfeit.
Credit lessons maybe used in the following quarter for students who signed up for 10 weeks lessons; or on the following month for students who signed up for 4 weeks lessons. Credits are not refundable. For instance, if the student cancels one lesson, he or she will be allowed to pay for 9 lessons the following quarter.
No refunds will be made if the student fails to continue the following quarter.
An absence of up the 6 months is allowed with medical reasons and special circumstances. A refund or re-scheduling lessons can be granted with the approval of the board meeting.
There will be no re-scheduling or credit lessons for group lesson students.
6. Re-scheduling a lesson for private lesson student
Every student may re-schedule up to 2 lessons per quarter (or 1 lesson per month) with a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the lesson. If the student fails to do so, he will not be able to re-schedule the lesson and the lesson will be considered forfeit.
Lesson must be re-scheduled within the current quarter (month) and credit will not be issued for the following quarter (month).
Re-scheduled lessons must take place during the days and times teacher is present at the school. Teacher is not required to come to the school solely to teach a re-scheduled lesson.
If a student is not available during the days and times the teacher is at the school, lesson will be forfeit.
Depending upon the teacher's availability, re-scheduled lesson may be on the same day of the regular lesson on the following week. The student may have up to an hour to compensate for missed lessons.
